City of Cambridge Water Polo Club is the only public water polo club in Cambridge. We're a friendly and welcoming club, catering from a wide range of standards- our current members include beginners and former national champions. We also have a growing junior section.
Our club caters for anyone who might be interested in water polo- from beginners through to former national champions. Our current men's coach has a decade's worth of international experience. We also have a junior section, with a dedicated coach and training session. Otherwise we run two mixed training sessions a week, with informal fitness training as well.
We also offer a range of matches for our men's teams, and our junior team against other clubs. Our mens team play in several local leagues, playing home and away matches throughout the year and regularly winning them. The first team also play in the British Water Polo League (National League), where we currently compete in Division 4. We currently do not have a competing women's team, but do help those who train with us find teams, and hope to be able to field a Cambridge Womens team in the near future.
On top of the Water Polo, we're a very sociable club, and offer regular organised socials and day trip events, as well as regular pub trips and meals after training and at the weekends.
Our senior squads train Tuesdays and Thursdays and our junior squads also train on Tuesday.
Our senior members train at the Leys School, 20:30-22:00 on Fen Causeway CB2 7AD. These trainings take place during their terms times only.
